What Is Behaviour and Remedial therapy ?
It is a multidisciplinary approach that involves children learning to respond to situations more appropriately. The main aim of this therapy is to reward positive behaviour and modify negative behaviour. This is also designed to improve the child’s basic activities like attention, focus and communication, fine motor skills, eye hand co-ordination and various behavioral issues.

Children with the following conditions can be considered –
- ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
- Specific learning disabilities (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia)

- Mild to moderate intellectual disabilities
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Children with emotional and behavioural issues.
What happens during Behaviour and Remedial therapy?

Different parameters are assessed like the child’s IQ,SQ (social quotient), DQ (development quotient) etc. Based on this diagnosis, the therapist will prepare a tailor madetherapy protocol for each child.
How long does a child need Behaviour and Remedial therapy?
The amount of time a person needs therapy depends on a few factors, including:
- Their age
- Frequency of therapy
- Underlying medical condition
- Type and severity
Most children who are identified and started on therapy early do very well over time. All that the child needs is motivated parents and regular, sustained therapy. Please remember that the key to recovery is “EARLY IDENTIFICATION & INTERVENTION……APPROPRIATE & REGULAR THERAPY”
