Parijma is the brain child of Dr. Suresh Rao Aroor, a qualified adult and Pediatric Neurologist.

He has conceptualized the need for multidisciplinary team approach for most neurologic disorders and has started this very unique institute, which has most disciplines required for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of such patients.

• D.M (NEURO), NIMHANS, Bangalore
• Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology from University of California at Los Angeles – UCLA (U.S.A.)
• FRCP (Glasgow).

Work Experience:

1. Worked at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS), Bangalore for 11 years as Faculty in  Pediatric Neurology (1981-1991)
2. Worked – 10 years at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore as HOD & Chief Neurologist (1991-2002)
3. At present working at Parijma Neurodiagnostic and Rehabilitation Centre, Bangalore & Mangaluru as Director and Pediatric Neurologist( 1991 – till date ).

Special Achievements:

1. First Qualified Pediatric Neurologist of Karnataka
2. First to start Dept. of Pediatric Neurology in the country, at NIMHANS, Bangalore in 1982.
3. Founder and Director of Parijma Neurodiagnostic & Rehabilitation Centre, a unique and one of the few centres in the country with multidisciplinary  &  diagnostic facilities for Pediatric Neurology Care.
4. Founder  Treasurer – Neurology Chapter – Indian Academy of Pediatrics – IAP.
5. Charter President – IAP Neurology Karnataka Chapter.

Special Honours:

1. Recipient of the award “International Who is Who in Medicine” – awarded by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England, in 1995.
2. Recipient of the award “Five hundred leaders of Influence” – Twentieth Century Achievement Award from American Biographical Institute – USA – in 1997.
3. Guest speaker – various International and National child Neurology & Epilepsy conferences.
4. Lifetime Achievement Award 2017 awarded by IAP Karnataka state chapter.
5. Awarded The Diploma of Fellowship FRCP (Glas), distinction as physician by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2018.
